#FASHIONFILES: Kerby Jean-Raymond Covers Metal Magazine No. 45 Lensed by Shikeith

Metal Magazine No. 45 moves from its focus on Pyer Moss Creative Director Kerby Jean-Raymond’s Fall 2021 couture collection, to the designer himself. Romina Herrera Malatesta [IG] — who also styled the couture shoot — styles Jean-Raymond, learning that they share an interest in James Baldwin.

The Brooklyn creative whiz is reading ‘The Price of the Ticket’, a collection of Baldwin’s writings published in 1985. A fav quote of the stylist is: ““It goes without saying, I believe, that if we understood ourselves better, we would damage ourselves less.”

Interdisciplinary artist and filmmaker Shikeith [IG] photographs the designer and push-the-envelope-intellectual for Metal Magazine.

Yolanda Muelas closes out the equivalent of an editor’s letter on the state of our world with Kerby Jean-Raymond’s own words:

“You have to be optimistic for the future, right? These are tough times, but there are ways to get through them. Many things have changed and routines have been uprooted. The only thing that we can do is be kind to each other, watch what we say, stop being a fucking hater all the time, and get through this shit together. It’s the only way to stay alive”.

Ex-Cop Kim Potter Found Guilty On Manslaughter Charges For Killing Daunte Wright

A jury found former Minnesota police Officer Kim Potter guilty on both manslaughter charges Thursday for fatally shooting 20-year-old Daunte Wright during a traffic stop in Brooklyn Center, a Minneapolis suburb, in April.

Jurors deliberated for more than 27 hours over the course of four days. The mostly white jury of six women and six men heard eight days of testimony, and on Tuesday, between deliberations, they asked the judge for guidance on what steps should be taken if the jurors could not reach a consensus.

“Members of the jury, when you first came into the courtroom, I told you that jurors are the heroes of our judicial system,” Hennepin County Judge Regina Chu said after the verdict. “Well, the 12 of you are our heroes. ... Without civic-minded citizens like you, our system of justice could not function.”

Potter, who is white, was charged with first- and second-degree manslaughter after she shot Wright, an unarmed Black motorist, in the chest. She has said she meant to use her stun gun rather than her firearm. The shooting, which occurred with two other officers and a passenger of Wright’s in close proximity, resulted in Wright driving away and crashing into an occupied vehicle. Potter resigned two days later.

In this case, the first-degree manslaughter charge accuses Potter of killing Wright while committing the misdemeanor offense of “reckless handling or use of a firearm.” The second-degree manslaughter charge accuses her of causing Wright’s death “by her culpable negligence.” Prosecutors had reminded the jury that Potter was not charged with murder, and that the state was not accusing her of intending to kill Wright.

Sentencing for Potter has been set for Feb. 18. The maximum sentence is 15 years for a first-degree manslaughter conviction, and 10 years for a second-degree conviction. However, Minnesota judges follow sentencing guidelines that normally call for less time ― just over seven years for first-degree manslaughter, and four years for second-degree.

Chu announced after the verdict that Potter will be taken into custody without bail. The defense said they intend to file for dispositional departure, arguing that Potter deserves not to be incarcerated pending her sentencing hearing. Chu maintained that Potter would be held without bail.

Prosecutors also said they are seeking a longer sentence for Potter due to aggravating factors, similar to the prosecution of former Minneapolis police Officer Derek Chauvin in George Floyd’s murder. During the trial, Potter waived her right for a jury to decide whether aggravating factors exist in her case, leaving the decision to Chu.

During the trial, prosecutors pointed out that Potter was a 26-year veteran officer who’d had extensive training in stun gun use and the use of deadly force. They argued that her actions were unreasonable, reckless and dangerous to others around her. The state called a long list of witnesses to assist the jury in understanding the details of the traffic stop, the difference between a stun gun and a handgun, and the intensity of Potter’s training.

“This was no little oopsie,” Assistant Attorney General Erin Eldridge said in closing arguments on Monday. “This was a colossal screw-up, a blunder of epic proportions. It was precisely the thing she had been warned about for years, and she had been trained to prevent it. It was irreversible and fatal.”

Potter’s attorneys have argued throughout the trial that the former Brooklyn Center officer made a simple mistake when she killed Wright ― but that she also would have been justified in using deadly force if she’d intended to use her handgun, because another officer, Sgt. Mychal Johnson, was at risk of being dragged by Wright’s car. The defense also claimed that Wright caused his own death by resisting arrest during a traffic stop in which he was pulled over for having an air freshener and expired tags.

“You can train forever, and under exigent circumstances, you can end up making a mistake,” defense attorney Earl Gray told jurors in closing arguments. “In the walk of life, nobody’s perfect. Everybody makes mistakes. Some of them are small mistakes. Some of them are very serious.”

A criminal law expert who studies policing and use of force testified last week that the claim of Johnson’s life being at risk was false. The expert, former police Officer Seth Stoughton, pointed to body camera video showing that Johnson backed out of Wright’s vehicle when Potter yelled her “Taser” warnings. That meant Potter’s use of deadly force was not proportional to the situation, he testified.

Potter herself took the stand at the trial on Friday as the defense’s final witness. She said she shot Wright in a moment of chaos after he tried to leave the scene while she and other officers were trying to arrest him on an outstanding warrant for a gross misdemeanor weapons violation. According to the former officer, she meant to use her Taser ― which is bright yellow and weighs much less than the handgun she carried ― to incapacitate Wright when he pulled away from police and got back in his car. Instead, she shot him with her gun.

The ex-cop began sobbing while describing the shooting, and became emotional when Eldridge played video that showed her pointing her gun at Wright for several seconds before shooting. For most of Potter’s cross-examination, she was matter-of-fact and gave brief answers. She did not show emotion while Chu read the jury’s verdict on Thursday.

“The family of Daunte Wright is relieved that the justice system has provided some measure of accountability for the senseless death of their son, brother, father and friend,” the Wright family’s legal team said in a statement. “From the unnecessary and overreaching tragic traffic stop to the shooting that took his life, that day will remain a traumatic one for this family and yet another example for America of why we desperately need change in policing, training and protocols.”

Wright’s death fueled nationwide protests against police brutality and racial injustice, and led to Brooklyn Center passing a progressive resolution that offers a road map for overhauling its public safety system. The Daunte Wright and Kobe Dimock-Heisler Community Safety & Violence Prevention Act creates an oversight office to monitor police, and a new department consisting of unarmed civilians responsible for non-moving traffic violations.

“If we are ever going to restore the confidence of Black and marginalized Americans in law enforcement, we need to have accountability and a commitment to listening and to creating meaningful change. We must now turn our attention to ensuring that Kim Potter receives the strongest and most just sentence possible,” lawyers for the Wright family said in their statement. “It is also imperative that we focus on the conduct of Brooklyn Center and pinpoint its systemic failures that contributed to Daunte’s unlawful death.”

#RHOA: Cynthia Bailey Ventures Into Acting, Says She’s Choosing Peace Amid ‘Real Housewives’ Exit

Now that her Real Housewives of Atlanta days are in the past, Cynthia Bailey is not holding back on her exit from the series and how beneficial the decision has been for her mental well-being.

After 13 seasons on the Bravo series, including the spin-off, Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip, alongside fellow RHOA co-star Kenya Moore, she is electing not to renew her contract and is instead embarking on Hollywood.

“As a reality star, you just play yourself. I’m really enjoying that if I ever want to be involved in some drama, it’s because of my character,” Bailey told Essence.

A few weeks ago, the 54-year-old revealed on her Instagram that she’d just finished wrapping up a role in a Lifetime film, though she could only reveal so much. She also says she landed a recurring appearance on BET’s Games People Play.

While Bailey says thoughts of leaving the show had been brewing for years, now that the time has finally come, the hardest part will be seeing the show on television without her face on it.

“I think the next step for me is watching the show come on, and I’m not on it. I was on it for so long. It’s hit me, but it hasn’t hit me,” she said. Even still, Bailey says she has “created that space for peace” and is happy with her choice.

#MusicNews: Fans Are Convinced Kelly Rowland Should Portray Donna Summer After Unearthed Pic

Kelly Rowland fans are calling for the singer to portray the late Donna Summer in a biopic after an old photo of the queen of disco went viral this week.

Music critic Craig Seymour tweeted a throwback photo of Summer on Saturday, noting it was featured in a 1979 issue of Rona Barrett’s Hollywood Magazine.

People on Twitter quickly pointed out the striking resemblance between Rowland and Summer, who died in 2012 at age 63.

“If Kelly Rowland doesn’t play Donna Summer, I am going to openly protest,” one Twitter user wrote. “Because look at this.”

“Kelly Rowland as Donna Summer is the biopic we deserve,” wrote another.

Fans of both singers have pointed out their similarities before.

Rowland dressed up as Summer for Halloween in 2019. She donned one of the “Last Dance” singer’s many iconic looks: a white bodysuit with a feathery white coat.

“If Donna Summer had a movie, you would be perfect for the role,” someone wrote in Rowland’s Instagram comments at the time.

A project about the late singer is apparently in the works.

Polygram Entertainment, a partner of Universal Music Group, is making a feature documentary about Summer, Deadline reported last week.

Roger Ross Williams, who is set to direct the film, told Deadline that he has been “transfixed by Donna Summer’s music.”

“She had a voice that spoke to my soul on the dance floor,” he said. “To be able to tell her story from a very personal perspective and to do that with her brilliant daughter Brooklyn is a dream come true. I am grateful to Polygram for making this happen.” Brooklyn Sudano will co-direct.

Meanwhile, Rowland returns to play character Jacquie Liddle in the third movie of Lifetime’s “Merry Liddle Christmas” franchise, “Merry Liddle Christmas Baby,” which premiered Monday on the network.

#HipHopNews: Travis Scott Appears To Confirm New Album Utopia Is Still Coming After Astroworld Festival Tragedy

It looks as if Travis Scott could be moving forward with the rollout for his upcoming album, Utopia.

Over the weekend, eagle-eyed fans noticed that the Houston rhymer changed his Instagram account bio with the word “UTOPIA” in all caps. Previously, Travis quietly removed the word from his bio following the deadly events at the 2021 Astroworld Festival at NRG Park in Houston on Nov. 5.

Whether this is an announcement that Travis is resuming his rollout for the project is unclear.

We have reached out to Travis Scott’s reps for confirmation.

Before the Astroworld calamity, Travis had been teasing fans about his Utopia project since the beginning of this year.

In the Spring 2021 issue of i-D magazine, Travis revealed small tidbits of what to expect on the album.

"I never tell people this, and I’m probably going to keep it a secret still, but I’m working with some new people and I’m just trying to expand the sound,” he told the publication. “I’ve been making beats again, rapping on my own beats, just putting everything together and trying to grow it really. That’s been one of the most fun things about working on this album. I’m evolving, collaborating with new people, delivering a whole new sound, a whole new range."

Fast forward to November, just a day before his headlining set at Astroworld, La Flame released two singles, “Escape Plan” and “Mafia,” which the latter song features an uncredited cameo from J. Cole.

However, a dark cloud still looms over Trav in the wake of the Astroworld fatalities. According to a medical examiner's report that XXL obtained last Thursday (Dec. 16), the official cause of death for the 10 victims was listed as "compression asphyxia." The report further explained that the crowd surge at the festival caused the victims' lungs to be crushed, ultimately resulting in suffocation.

Only one of the victims had an additional cause of death, which is described as a combination of cocaine, methamphetamine and ethanol. All 10 of the manner of deaths are labeled as accidental, with the victims' ages ranging from nine to 27 years old.

A criminal investigation into the mass casualty event is still ongoing.

Cardi B Defends ‘Real F*ckin Legend’ Lil’ Kim Against Bullying and Disrespect

The disrespect being brought against Lil’ Kim’s name has drawn the attention of Cardi B, who defended Queen Bee as a “real fuckin legend” when addressing the latest.

Most recently, some have been critical of Kim in connection with the track “Big Santa Papi,” which was released earlier this month as part of the rollout for the Nick Cannon-fronted Miracles Across 125th Street. And while Cardi didn’t directly address that project amid a series of tweets on Tuesday, she made sure to detail exactly why Kim deserves admiration instead of mockery.

In response to a tweet about this “weird hate bandwagon,” Cardi—who was recently announced as Playboy’s first-ever Creative Director in Residence—told her fans that she’s “tired” of seeing Kim’s name in a negative context.

“I’m tired of it and it’s heartbreaking…She’s is so sweet, supportive and a REAL FUCKIN LEGEND,” Cardi said, adding in a fond memory of using Kim’s 1996 Hard Core track “Fuck You” as her Myspace song amid “beef wit bitches.”

Later, Cardi addressed those who were quick to criticize her for not rushing together a Kim collab. As Cardi explained, she’s a woman before she’s an artist, not to mention the fact that she doesn’t aim to “rush BIG MOMENTS” like that. See more of Cardi’s comments below.

Earlier this month, frequent Kim mocker 50 Cent was called out by Royce da 5′9″ for failing to offer an apology to his “Magic Stick” collaborator despite doing so for Madonna. “That’s ain’t the message we want to send, is it?” Royce said in  comments directed at 50. “Nah, that’s not the message we want to send.”

James Franco Speaks on Seth Rogen Saying He Had No Plans to Work With Him After Sexual Misconduct Allegations

In January 2018, at least five women accused James Franco of sexual misconduct. He’s stayed fairly quiet on the subject, only talking to Stephen Colbert in vague terms while declaring, “The things I heard are not accurate, but I completely support people coming out because they didn’t have a voice for so long.”

Responding to Rogen’s remarks from May of this year in which he explained he had no plans to work with Franco again, the actor said Rogen “had to answer” for him because he had been silent.

“He was asked about me and, um, I just wanna say I absolutely love Seth Rogen. … I worked with him for 20 years,” the actor/writer/director said in a Jess Cagle Podcast clip shared by TMZ. “We didn’t have one fight for 20 years. Not one fight. He was my absolute closest work friend and collaborator.”

Later in the clip, Franco echoed Rogen’s comments about not having any plans to work together again.

“What he said is true,” Franco confirmed. “We aren’t working together right now and we don’t have any plans to work together. Of course, it was hurtful in context but I get it. He had to answer for me because I was silent.”

Rogen’s comments came as part of a Sunday Times interview in May, with the Pam & Tommy star reflecting on an SNL joke circa 2014 and another interview during which he had addressed the possibility of working with Franco again. “I also look back to that interview in 2018 where I comment that I would keep working with James, and the truth is that I have not and I do not plan to right now,” Rogen said at the time.

In June, it was reported that Franco—whose credits with Rogen include Pineapple Express, The Interview, and more—had agreed (as had his co-defendants) to pay $2.2 million to settle a lawsuit that alleged he had carried out “professional sexual exploitation in the name of education” at his no-longer-active Studio 4 facility. Also named as defendants in that suit were Franco’s Rabbit Bandini production company, as well as Franco’s partners Vince Jolivette and Jay Davis.

Doctor Strange and Wanda Team Up in First ‘Multiverse of Madness’ Trailer

After footage was first shown as the post-credits scene of “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” the official trailer for “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” is here.

The next adventure in the Marvel Cinematic Universe sees Doctor Strange and Wanda Maximoff team up as monsters and villains from the multiverse spill over into our world. After the events of “No Way Home,” “Loki” and “WandaVision,” the structural integrity of the multiverse has taken a beating. That could be why an evil, alternate version of Doctor Strange, who originally appeared in the animated Disney Plus series “What If…?,” has crossed over to wreak havoc in the main MCU timeline. A tentacled monster with one giant eye, based on the comic-book villains Shuma-Gorath and Gargantos, also causes some trouble for the heroes.

In addition to Benedict Cumberbatch and Elizabeth Olsen reprising their roles as Doctor Strange and Wanda, other returning stars include Benedict Wong as Wong, Rachel McAdams as Dr. Christine Palmer and Chiwetel Ejiofor as Karl Mordo. Xochitl Gomez will debut as the young hero America Chavez, who has the power to punch holes into different realities, which will surely come in handy.

Sam Raimi took over from original “Doctor Strange” director Scott Derrickson, who stepped down from the film due to creative differences. Raimi is already known in the superhero world for directing the Tobey Maguire “Spider-Man” trilogy for Sony in the 2000s. “Loki” writer Michael Waldron and Jade Halley Bartlett wrote the script.

After being delayed a full year, “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” is coming to theaters on May 6, 2022 Watch The Trailer HERE!

D.A. Seeks To Reconsider Truck Driver’s 110-Year Sentence

Following the shocking news that truck driver Rogel Aguilera-Mederos was sentenced to 110 years for a fatal accident, millions came to his support to fight against his harsh sentences, and now the Colorado First Judicial District Attorney Alexis King has formally requested a hearing to reduce his sentence.

4.6 million people signed the change.org petition asking Democratic Gov. Jared Polis, to grant clemency or commute the sentence of the 26-year-old.

“The law also permits the Court to reconsider its sentence in an exceptional case involving unusual and extenuating circumstances,” the motion reads.

As we reported, per the Denver Post Aguilera-Mederos’ truck crashed into stopped traffic on I-70 after coming down from the mountains outside Denver in 2019.  28 cars were wrecked and four people died. However, Aguilera-Mederossays his breaks failed, and he passed all drugs and alcohol tests.

A jury convicted him in October of 27 counts, four counts of vehicular homicide, six counts of assault in the first degree and 10 counts of attempt to commit assault in the first degree.

According to KUSA, during an emotional statement, Aguilera-Mederos told the judge he doesn’t know why he’s still alive while the four others are dead.

Sandra Bernhard Looks Back at Her Falling Out with Former Close Friend Madonna

Sandra Bernhard is opening up about her falling out with Madonna.

In a new interview, the 66-year-old actress looked back at her once super close friendship with the 63-year-old entertainer in the ’80s and early ’90s before their falling out in 1992.

While she didn’t share exactly what happened between the two of them, Sandra did share some insight into the situation.

“I didn’t really like that level of visibility and having to work it constantly,” Sandra said of her friendship with Madonna while appearing on the Hot Takes & Deep Dives podcast.

“We all as performers work it to a certain degree, but I’m a very improvisational person, on stage and in my life, and I don’t like being tied down in having to be a certain way for my image,” Sandra continued. “What I tried to impart in our friendship is, ‘I’m really your friend, I’m not just somebody that’s passing through.’”

Sandra added, “And I guess for a while we had a real friendship, but it’s hard for somebody like her. She doesn’t really want somebody around who reflects too much of who she is. Therefore, her relationships just don’t last.”

Five days later, the Muskogee County Sheriff’s Office presented with a certificate denoting him an honorary deputy.

“The Muskogee Public Schools Board of Education recognized sixth-grader Davyon Johnson during the board meeting Tuesday night,” Johnson’s school district posted on their Facebook page. “Davyon performed the Heimlich maneuver on a classmate on December 9 and that evening helped a woman from her house that was on fire.”

Mom Blames TikTok for 10-Year-Old Daughter’s Death, Says She Participated in “Black Out” Challenge

A distraught mother is warning other parents of a dangerous TikTok challenge that she says is responsible for her daughter’s death.

Nyla Anderson, 10, was found unconscious in her room in Pennsylvania after engaging with the viral “black-out” trend on TikTok. The challenge shows a participant holding their breath until they pass out. New to social media but an old trend from the 90s.

The New York Post says that the challenge was known in the 90s as the “fainting game” or “choke challenge.” It spread by word of mouth. However, with social media, the hashtag black out challenge has received over a million views with participants filming themselves trying to do the challenge. Anderson isn’t the only child this year that has fallen victim to the disturbing challenge.

Anderson is at least the fifth child to die from the challenge. In June, LaTerius Smith Jr., 9, was found unconscious in his Tennessee home after attempting the challenge. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital. Another child died during June while recording themselves during the challenge in Oklahoma. Joshua Haileyesus, 12, passed out in his bathroom. He died three weeks later in the hospital. A 10-year-old girl was found dead by her sister in her bathroom after doing the challenge.

The Center for Disease Control and Prevention identified around 82 deaths from the “choking game” between 1995 to 2007. Anderson’s parents are warning other parents to check their children’s phones.

Anderson’s mom says “She was everything. She was a happy child. This is a pain that won’t go away. It’s at the top of my throat. I am so hurt.”

TikTok has tried to recognize hoaxes and dangerous challenges by filtering out results for the “black out” challenge. When searched, “Learn how to recognize harmful challenges and hoaxes,” pops up on the screen. The social media company allows users and creators to report any videos that pertain to the dangerous challenge.

William Shatner, 90, involved in Los Angeles car accident

William Shatner was involved in a car accident on Ventura Boulevard in Studio City, Calif., Tuesday afternoon, as evidenced from photographs taken from the scene.

The “Star Trek” star, 90, was driving alone in his black Mercedes-Benz SUV when he got into an accident with an unidentified woman driving a silver Acura sedan.

It’s unclear how the incident happened, or who caused it, but it appears both cars were damaged in the wreck.

A spokesperson for the LAPD says that neither parties were injured.

Pics from the scene show Shatner’s slightly damaged Mercedes parked near a meter, while the other vehicle was propped up on the curb.

A spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department said on Wednesday that police arrived but did not file an accident report due to the fact that nobody was injured.

We’re told Shatner and the mystery woman exchanged information.

Philadelphia Eagles Head Coach Nick Sirianni Tests Positive For COVID-19

"I wasn't feeling great this morning when I woke up and just got tested, and obviously we are where we are right now," Sirianni said.

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni has tested positive for COVID-19, the team announced Wednesday.

According to the Eagles, Sirianni was feeling symptomatic and tested positive earlier in the day.

"Coach Sirianni will conduct his responsibilities remotely and remains hopeful to return by Sunday," the team said.

This news comes one day after the Eagles beat Washington at the Linc, in a game that had been postponed several days because of a COVID outbreak on the Washington Football Team.

"I wasn't feeling great this morning when I woke up and just got tested, and obviously we are where we are right now," Sirianni said at a news conference. "The rest of the week I'll be in every meeting, obviously virtually."

Washington took the field with a quarterback who signed four days earlier and was missing a handful of starters because of the coronavirus outbreak.

But now the question is: if Sirianni has COVID, will others within the organization test positive for it as well?

Dr. Delana Wardlaw with Temple Health says that wouldn't be a surprise.

"There's a good likelihood that the other players have been exposed, particularly if they weren't wearing masks, depending on vaccination status," said Wardlaw.

She also says outbreaks in the NFL and any contact sport are inevitable.

"It's almost impossible to protect everyone from contacting COVID. So, the best defense here is one we do want to mask. We do want to make sure we're testing so we can identify those who have a positive test. But again, the most effective thing that we can do is vaccination," added Wardlaw.

It is still unclear what players will be available on Sunday for the Eagles next game against the New York Giants.

On Wednesday, some fans Action News spoke with are optimistic the Birds will get a win on Sunday whether Coach Sirianni is on the sidelines or not.

"I have enough confidence in our team even without our coach that I think they could win," said Greta Szustak

Jay-Z Dubs Beyoncé An ‘Evolution’ Of Michael Jackson

Jay-Z’s got “99 Problems” — and his comparison of wife Beyoncé to late King of Pop Michael Jackson is one.

The “444” rapper is at the forefront of intense Twitter turbulence between fiery fans of the fallen “Thriller” star and diehard members of the ever-buzzing #BeyHive tribe. And the cyber chaos ensued when Jay, 52, dubbed Beyoncé, 40, an “evolution” of Jackson — who died in 2009 at age 50.

“Bey’s gonna be mad at this for saying this but Michael Jackson never had a Coachella,” Jay-Z said during a recent Twitter Spaces chat with his “Empire State of Mind” collaborator Alicia Keys and host Rob Markman.

“She’s an evolution of him because she watched him at 9. And the kids are the same,” the Brooklyn emcee added.

Jay-Z went on to praise his “Run the World (Girls)” crooning bride for her world-stopping “Beychella” performance at the 2018 Coachella music festival.

“Find me a concert that’s as culturally relevant and thrilling as Coachella,” he urged. “Beyoncé is gonna be one of the best singers we ever heard because she is such a student.”

The Queen Bey’s undeniable reign notwithstanding, social media soldiers immediately took to their keyboards, arguing that the “Sorry” singer should not be named in the same sentence as Jackson.

“I Love Beyoncé but don’t take it too far saying she’s better than Michael Jackson,” one MJ fanatic wrote.

“Respectfully Michael Jackson never needed anything like Coachella throughout his lifetime. Michael Jackson has had double the audience of anything Beyonce ever had. mj had people literally fainting and being transported on stretchers…no offense but MJ is unmatched,” penned another.

Bey buffs struck back with tweets like: “Beyoncé was pregnant & singing upside down at FWT, pregnant & throwing up when she did Glastonbury, sick when she sang her face off at Oprah’s show. Michael Jackson sprained his ankle & did an entire performance sitting down & lip-syncing for his life. the bar is SO low for men. TUH.”

“Beyoncé is more talented than Michael Jackson. y’all just love to demote her talent because she is a woman. If Beyoncé was a man y’all wouldn’t be saying this,” said another Bey devotee.

Jay-Z previously crowned Beyoncé — who in March earned her 28th Grammy and became the most Grammy Award-winning female artist of all time — “the second coming” of Jackson during a 2011 interview with Miami’s 99 Jamz.

“What I’ve learned from her is similar to what I learned from Mike [Jackson],” Jay said of the “Love on Top” luminary. “I know that’s blasphemy to compare the two because Mike was such an innovator — but I think she’s like the second coming.“

So far, neither Beyoncé nor the members of Jackson’s music-making family — including baby sister Janet Jackson, 55 — have openly commented on Jay-Z’s most recent comparison of the two.

‘Home Alone’ Actor Devin Ratray Arrested For Allegedly Assaulting Girlfriend While Attending Fan Convention

The actor who played Buzz McCallister, the older brother of Macaulay Culkin’s character in Home Alone and Home Alone 2, was arrested while in Oklahoma for a fan convention this month, according to local news reports.

Devin Ratray, 44, was in Oklahoma City in early December for an appearance at OKC Pop Christmas Con, a two-day event where he was billed as one of the main attractions.

According to reports, the actor and his girlfriend were out drinking when they were approached by two women asking for his autograph. Ratray’s girlfriend reportedly gave the women autographed cards for free. That decision later became a point of contention between the two.

Their disagreement allegedly turned violent once the couple returned to their hotel room, with Ratray accused of choking the woman there.

“[The] victim had trouble breathing while she was being strangled and while the defendant’s hand was over her mouth,” Detective Joseph Burnett of the Oklahoma City Police Department wrote in his report.

The woman managed to free herself, but Ratray then allegedly punched her in the face before she was able to flee the room.

Assistant District Attorney Stephanie Powers filed the charges against the actor December 21 in Oklahoma County District Court.

In addition to the Home Alone films, Ratray has appeared in Alexander Payne’s Nebraska and the Jennifer Lopez-starring Hustlers.

He has a long list of TV credits, including guest spots on Law & Order, Blue Bloods, The Good Wife, Hawaii Five-O, Chicago Med and Russian Doll. He also appeared as Tinfoil Kevin in the first two seasons of The Tick.
