Jennifer Lopez for Elle Magazine US -January 2021!

Jennifer Lopez covers the February 2021 issue of ELLE and opens up about her first-ever beauty line, JLo Beauty, her wedding plans with fiancé, Alex Rodriguez and the importance of celebrating her Latin heritage at last year’s Super Bowl performance.

On the launch of her long-awaited beauty line, aptly titled JLo Beauty, a tightly curated collection of eight products: “Wherever I go, the number one question people ask is, ‘What do you do for your skin?’ ” Lopez tells me. At the launch event for her line, Lopez reiterated this sentiment to a group of beauty editors. “Even my closest friends are like, ‘Come on, b***h, what are you doing with your skin?’ ”

Even her fiancé, Alex Rodriguez, whom she’s been dating since 2017 is a fan of JLo Beauty: “[Alex] tries everything. We did the mask together on the first night, and I filmed myself and it was just life-changing. I was like, My God, I feel like I have a baby face!” she remembers, laughing. “He loves it, and now we’re always fighting for the mask since they’re not in full production. [These products] are for anybody who has skin, which is everyone.”

The two were supposed to get married last year in Italy, plans that were put on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic. “We postponed the wedding twice. We had planned what we really, really wanted to do, [but] I don’t know if we’ll be able to re-create that. We canceled it, and since then we haven’t really talked about it. There’s no rush. We want to do it right when we can do it. We just have to wait to see where the world lands.”

When Lopez emerged onto the stage wearing a feathered cape adorned with the American flag, opening it to reveal a Puerto Rican flag underneath, as Emme sang “Born in the U.S.A.” It was a singular, unforgettable statement. Turns out the reveal was almost a complete surprise. “I never showed some of the things that we were going to do until the last minute, because [I] didn’t want anybody to tell me that I couldn’t do it. Everybody in the show knew it, but when I opened it up, I was just literally opening it up to the world.” She adds, “I [told] Donatella Versace, ‘I want to be an American flag because I’m going to be singing “Born in the U.S.A.” with my daughter, but when I open it up, I want them to know that my heart and soul is Puerto Rican.’ ”

#RHOA: Porsha Williams Slams Kenya Moore As “Vile And Jealous,” Agrees She Is Embarrassing Herself On Show And Suggests She “Get A Life”!

Porsha Williams took aim at Kenya Moore following the latest episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta on Sunday night.

As Kenya continues to suggest that Porsha’s activism is all for show, Porsha shared a tweet from a fan, who called Kenya out for being “vile” and jealous before suggesting her recent behavior on the Bravo series is “embarrassing.”

“The level of hate, vile, and just plain jealousy that [Kenya Snore] displays towards [Porsha Williams] is just embarrassing to watch. Perhaps if she had any real level of decency she might have better luck in life,” the person, named Renee Walker, had written.

Also included in the tweet were hashtags, including “Get a Life” and “Misery Loves Company.”

In her caption, Porsha wrote, “I mean dang…” before thanking her online audience for continuing to tune into RHOA.

Then, in the comments section, Porsha responded to a fan who told her she shouldn’t be giving Kenya any of her time.

“Lol why are you giving her any attention???” the fan asked.

“Ok y’all are right,” Porsha agreed.

As RHOA fans have seen in recent weeks, Porsha has been extremely active in her efforts for the Black Lives Matter movement, and while a number of her castmates have rallied around her with support, Kenya has questioned whether she’s gotten involved solely to repair her reputation.

During one recent social media feud over the matter, Porsha clapped back at Kenya for suggesting her efforts for equality aren’t genuine.

“It really is sad that this had to be addressed,” Porsha began her lengthy caption. “But when it comes to BLM let me be clear I will not be reading anyone, I will not be shading anyone, I will not stoop down and give weight nor battle the topic of BLM with a fellow black [woman] on TV!”

“I take it very serious so all I will say is Kenya I will pray for you over the holidays and maybe even I can be a beacon of light in your dark heart,” she continued. “I truly hope that in next week episode you are not questioning or belittling the efforts of the very brave women and men all over the world who stood up and said No justice No peace and have to fight because innocent black men and women are being killed! I know we can do better than this. Let’s stay focused!!!”

The Real Housewives of Atlanta season 13 airs Sunday nights at 8/7c on Bravo.

Kwame Kilpatrick, Lil’ Wayne Among Dozens To Win Clemency Or Pardon From Trump on Last Day In Office!

Donald Trump, in his last hours as president, commuted the sentence of former Detroit mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, who had been convicted in 2013 on multiple corruption charges, and issued a full pardon to hip-hop superstar Lil’ Wayne early Wednesday. (Jan. 20).

The move, announced by the White House, comes as part of a wave of 73 pardons and 70 commutations the president has granted to mark his exit.

Kilpatrick, 50, had resigned from office after a text messaging scandal had revealed an illicit affair with his chief of staff. Further investigation revealed a litany of illegal activity and he was eventually convicted on 24 federal felony counts, which included mail fraud, wire fraud, and racketeering and was sentenced to 28 years behind bars. Over the past year, rumors had been floated that he would be released from federal prison due to risk of coronavirus, but none of them turned out to be true.

He had appealed several times, but each of those attempts failed. Michigan State Rep. Sherry Gay-Dagnogo had even hand delivered a letter asking for Kilpatrick’s release during a White House event in February 2020.

“Mr. Kilpatrick has served approximately 7 years in prison for his role in a racketeering and bribery scheme while he held public office,” the White House statement reads. “During his incarceration, Mr. Kilpatrick has taught public speaking classes and has led Bible Study groups with his fellow inmates.”

Meanwhile, Lil’ Wayne, 38, whose real name is Dwayne Carter, will not go to prison due to Trump’s pardon. He pleaded guilty last month to a federal charge of possession of a weapon despite having been a convicted felon, when a handgun was found on his chartered jet after landing in Miami in December 2019.

According to the Associated Press, the “A Milli” rapper admitted having the gold-plated handgun and six rounds of ammunition, which was found in his luggage. He posted $250,000 bail and had his passport taken by authorities. His hearing had been scheduled for Jan. 28, and he faced 10 years in prison if convicted.

But during Trump’s campaign last year, Wayne tweeted photos of himself and the president afer a meeting in an apparent show of support and said he backed Trump’s “Platinum Plan” which addressed criminal justice reform and economic opportunity with Black people in America. The endorsement garnered wide criticism, but Wayne never changed his mind.

Wayne’s backing seems to have been enough for Trump to grant him the commutation and help him avoid another conviction. He served eight months in New York on weapons charges and was released in 2010.

“Mr. Carter has exhibited this generosity through commitment to a variety of charities, including donations to research hospitals and a host of foodbanks,” reads the White House statement. “Deion Sanders, who also wrote in support of this pardon, calls Mr. Wayne “a provider for his family, a friend to many, a man of faith, a natural giver to the less fortunate, a waymaker, [and] a game changer.”

In addition to Kilpatrick, and Lil’ Wayne, another high profile conviction, rapper Kodak Black, 23, has also received a commutation from Trump. Like Wayne’ he tweeted an endorsement of the Platinum Plan, but while serving a 46-month sentence in Florida for falsifying information on federal forms to buy guns in Miami.

“Before his conviction and after reaching success as a recording artist, Kodak Black became deeply involved in numerous philanthropic efforts,” said the statement. “In fact, he has committed to supporting a variety of charitable efforts, such as providing educational resources to students and families of fallen law enforcement officers and the underprivileged.”

Howver, there are other charges against Black, whose legal name is Bill Kapri, including sexual assault that are still pending, according to The Washington Post.

Other notable people on Trump’s list of pardons or commutations include Michael “Harry O” Harris, co-founder of Death Row Records, imprisoned for cocaine trafficking and attempted murder; Jawad Musa, who was sentenced to life imprisonment on a non-violent drug offense; Ferrell Scott, who was sentenced to a life term for marijuana possession with intent to distribute; and Syrita Steib-Martin, who was sentenced to 10 years on a charge of stealing a car from a Texas auto dealer, which burned down in the incident. After serving her term, she co-founded Operation Restoration, which helps formerly imprisoned women and girls with reentry. Trump commuted her sentence.

The acts are just a few of dozens that Trump moved forward with in his last few hours in office. Although it had been rumored that he might pardon himself, that did not happen. Nor were there pre-emptive pardons for members of his family, including sons Donald Trump Jr., and Eric Trump, or his personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani.

But among other high profile cases, he did pardon Steve Bannon, his former chief strategist, who was facing federal charges of defrauding donors who were supposed to have been giving money to Trump’s border wall effort. But he did not pardon Sheldon Silver, the former New York Assembly speaker, who was imprisoned on corruption charges last year,

Rapper Bow Wow Apologizes For Attending Packed Houston Club!

Rapper Bow Wow apologized after Houston’s mayor called him out for attending a crowded gathering at a city nightclub during a weekend packed with concerts as Texas continues to grapple with the coronavirus.

Mayor Sylvester Turner took to Twitter on Sunday to let the Ohio rapper, whose real name is Shad Gregory Moss, know that the city was monitoring a football watch party Bow Wow was expected to attend.

“Other bars/clubs that are operating as restaurants, beyond capacity and social distancing requirements, please expect visits," Turner tweeted.

Bow Wow also sounded off on Twitter to share his grievances, saying he wasn't paid to appear and that he was there for a friend's birthday party.

“Safe to say the mayor of houston hates my guts. I cant believe i get the blame for a whole weekend,” Bow Wow tweeted Monday morning. “I apologize if i did anything wrong. I love the city of houston."

“It was not a bow wow concert. I simply did one verse to like you. And went back to my section and simply put my mask BACK on.”

But Turner made clear that he doesn't dislike Bow Wow and said the pandemic is not the time for concerts.

News outlets report Bow Wow was seen Friday night in club Cle Houston among a maskless crowd, though the rapper said on Twitter that he sang only one verse, then “went back to my section and simply put my mask BACK on.”

There was also a concert at club Spire, where police saw hundreds of people waiting to enter the crowded venue to see singer Trey Songz and New York City rapper Fabolous.

Clubs in Houston are allowed to operate at 50% capacity. But fire marshals cleared Spire and cited the business for blocking exists. A spokesman for the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission said events held at that venue are under investigation for potential public health order violations.

“If the investigation finds evidence of a violation, the agency could assess a penalty,” the spokesman said.

Wendy Williams Says She Did Attend Her Mother’s Funeral!

TV host Wendy Williams is firing back at her brother, who claimed that she did not show up to their mother’s funeral.

Tommy Williams has claimed that his sister was having lunch with her ex-husband Kevin Hunter at the time of their mother’s funeral in December, despite Wendy telling fans that she was taking time off from her talk show to grieve. During Monday’s “Hot Topics” segment on her show, Wendy said that Tommy is out to make her look bad, claiming that Tommy is “pegging me to be a person that I’m not,”

“You don’t want me to start pegging you to be the person that you are, with full-blown receipts. I could fill the audience with receipts,” Wendy threatened. The media star provided those receipts during Tuesday’s “Hot Topics” segment when she claimed that not only was she in attendance but that she witnessed her brother fight with a family member over her mother’s body inside of the funeral home.

“You started a fight over an open casket, right there over my mother. Thank God we were at a civilized funeral home,” she claimed. “And the men of the funeral home blocked so that Mommy wouldn’t fall out and there’d be a catastrophe. You should know better at 53,” Wendy fired back.

Tommy shot back at his sister, claiming that she attended their mother’s wake, but not the funeral service along with her son and ex-husband.

Their public beef began on Saturday when Tommy posted a video directed at his sister. In the clip, he says, “I don’t understand how a person can miss out on giving a salute to the one person who is always there, who always showed support.”

It is unclear what prompted Tommy to post the video or how long their feud has been going on.

Kim Kardashian, Kanye West marriage issues will be featured on ‘KUWTK’!

Kim Kardashian has filmed her marriage problems with Kanye West for the final episodes of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” according to sources

A source with knowledge of their show — which is ending after more than a decade-long run and 20 seasons on E! later this year — said the disintegration of Kim and Kanye’s marriage will feature heavily in the final storyline as they make their exit from the reality show.

The source said, “the Kardashians intend to go out with a bang. They’ve filmed Kim discussing her marriage problems. But everybody involved is on a nondisclosure agreement, because the finale won’t screen until later in 2021.”

Kim and Kanye had separated and are negotiating the terms of a divorce after nearly seven years of marriage. They have four children: daughter North, 7; son Saint, 5; daughter Chicago, 3; and son Psalm, 20 months.

Multiple sources say — ahead of a formal divorce filing — they are in settlement talks to agree on finances and how to split their properties. Kim is being represented by LA power divorce attorney Laura Wasser.

What is not clear is how much participation the E! show got from Kanye amid his separation from Kim.

A separate source said Kanye is fine with his upcoming divorce. “He understands Kim’s side has to spin that she is sick of him. In reality, he’s been sick of being involved with [the] Kardashians for a long while. Especially her mother, who looms large in all big decisions she makes.”

West, the source added, “seems to be enjoying the brouhaha surrounding his divorce. He is quite familiar with what the Kardashian public relations machine is capable of, and thinks it’s funny that her team is blaming his presidential run on the marriage disintegration.”

Reps for Kim and Kanye didn’t comment.

'Vogue' Will Publish Alternate Kamala Harris Cover Following Backlash!

Vice president-elect Kamala Harris is getting an alternate Vogue cover.

On Tuesday (January 19), the fashion publication announced that it will be releasing a “special-edition inauguration issue” following backlash over Harris' previously released cover.

“In recognition of the enormous interest in the digital cover, and in celebration of this historic moment, we will be publishing a limited number of special edition inaugural issues," the outlet said in a statement ahead of Wednesday's (January 20) inauguration.

Vogue's decision to release an additional Harris cover was a “gesture of goodwill combined with excitement about being able to publish this cover in time for this special day.”

Earlier this month, Vogue became embroiled in controversy following the release of Harris' first-ever Vogue cover, which showed the VP-elect standing in front of a pink and green fabric-draped backdrop — a nod to her sorority Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. — while wearing a black suit and her signature Converse sneakers.

Critics blasted the publication for choosing the more "casual" image of Harris after it paired the cover's release with its much-preferred digital cover that showed Harris posing in a powder blue suit in front of a gold backdrop.

Amid backlash, it was reported that Harris' team was “blindsided” by the cover swap as they were allegedly told Vogue was going to use an image of the VP-elect in the powder blue suit. Vogue's editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, however, shot down those claims and defended the chosen cover during an appearance on The New York Times’ “Sway” podcast.

“Obviously we have heard and understood the reaction to the print cover and I just want to reiterate that it was absolutely not our intention to, in any way, diminish the importance of the vice president-elect’s incredible victory,” she said. “We want nothing but to celebrate Vice President-elect Harris’ amazing victory and the important moment this is in America’s history, and particularly for women of color all over the world.”

“There was no formal agreement about what the choice of the cover would be. When the two images arrived at Vogue, all of us felt very, very strongly that the less formal portrait of the vice president-elect really reflected the moment that we were living in, which we were in the midst, as we still are, of the most appalling pandemic that is taking lives by the minute,” the editor-in-chief added. “We felt to reflect this tragic moment and global history, a much less formal picture, something that was very, very accessible and approachable and real, really reflected the hallmark of the Biden-Harris campaign and everything they’re trying to, and I’m sure will, achieve.”

The special edition will not be available on newsstands, but it is available for purchase through Vogue's website.

Tiffany Haddish, 41, flaunts body transformation: ’Snatched'!

Tiffany Haddish is kicking off the new year with a body transformation.

On Tuesday, the 41-year-old actress shared before-and-after photos of her figure to Instagram. On the left, wearing boy shorts and a crop top with her shaved head, is how she looked prior to embarking on a month-long fitness journey; on the right, with a smile on her face and bob wig, shows the effects. Haddish credits the 30 Day Transformation Team program, created by a husband and wife fitness team, for helping her get into shape.

“Now #SHEREADY to build Muscle and Maybe shave my armpits,” Haddish joked in the caption.

Fellow celebs and fans took to her comments to praise her, including Arsenio Hall and Nicole Ari Parker, both of whom could only use emojis to express their excitement.

“Uumm which is which! To me look good in both,” a fan wrote.

“Yassssss u did that,” someone else said.

“SNATCHED,” another person commented.

“Yesssssss!! Hard work and dedication,” one user added.

Haddish has been open about her fitness goals in the past. In an interview with People in December, the Girl’s Trip star revealed that she had lost 40 pounds after gaining weight during quarantine using the aforementioned 30-day program.

"I'm very skinny, it's going good," she said. "I don't really want to lose any more weight. I want to now just sculpt it all, sculpt off the fat so I can get to the muscle."

She also added that while participating in the program she went vegan — like her boyfriend rapper/actor Common — and admitted that it was not easy. "I figured if I'm going to do a transformation, I'm going to challenge myself all the way around,” she said. “But let me tell you something: I miss the meat. I want some brisket!"
